    <title>Preface</title>

    <para>Official <ulink url="http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~ashley/bemused/">Bemused
    web site</ulink> from which you can get this info.</para>

    <para>The latest version of this document is <ulink
    url="http://finik.org/linux/howto/affix/bemused/">here</ulink>.</para>

    <para>Bemused is a system which allows you to control your music
    collection from your phone, using Bluetooth. It requires a Nokia 7650/3650
    or a Sony Ericsson P800, and a PC with a Bluetooth adapter. You can do the
    following with Bemused:</para>

      <listitem>
        <para>Browse your music collection on your phone.</para>
      </listitem>

      <listitem>
        <para>Play files in any format supported by Winamp - including MP3s,
        CDs, MIDIs, etc.</para>
      </listitem>

      <listitem>
        <para>Control Winamp versions 2 and 3, Windows Media Player and
        PowerPoint Viewer.</para>
      </listitem>

      <listitem>
        <para>Pause, stop, rewind, fast-forward etc.</para>
      </listitem>

      <listitem>
        <para>Add songs to the playlist and use shuffle and repeat.</para>
      </listitem>

      <listitem>
        <para>Browse and select songs in your playlist.</para>
      </listitem>

      <listitem>
        <para>Download songs to your phone (supported formats: WAV and MIDI).</para>
      </listitem>

      <listitem>
        <para>Customise the look of the system with skins.</para>
      </listitem>

    <title>Installing</title>

    <para>SIS file for your mobile phone you can get <ulink
    url="http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~ashley/bemused/">here</ulink>.</para>

    <para>For linux server you need to get source from <ulink
    url="http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~ashley/bemused/bemusedlinuxserver.tar.gz">here</ulink>
    . Then apply my latest <ulink
    url="http://finik.org/linux/howto/affix/bemused/diff.patch">patch</ulink>.
    Or you can simply get already modified source code from <ulink
    url="http://finik.org/linux/howto/affix/bemused/bserver-affix.tar.gz">here</ulink>.<note><para>Latest
    versions of bemused linux server contains my patch so most probably it
    will works without it.</para></note><note><para>However latest patches
    help to compile with the latest affix releases.</para></note></para>

    <para>1. COMPILING</para>

    <para>type <screen>$ make -f Makefile.affix</screen> to compile bemused
    server.</para>

    <para>2. INSTALLING</para>

    <para>Make root and install bemused server by:<screen># make -f Makefile.affix install</screen>
    It will install bemused server and config file.</para>

    <para>3. CONFIGURING</para>

    <para>Have a look at /etc/bemused.conf and make needed changes. There are
    only 4 fields. No need to change channel number!</para>

    <para>4. STARTING</para>

    <para>Start bemused server by typing:<screen>$ bemusedserverlinux</screen></para>

    <para>That&#39;s all. From your mobile phone run bemused application and
    connect to your linux server.</para>
